I have a Explorer Sport with the 4.0L and an auto tranny. My mom borrowed my ride because it was snowing and didnt want to drive her's and ended up into a TREE. Messed some ish up but the only mechanical part that is ruined is the tranny cooler. I was wondering it I have to go back with the FORD OEM cooler or can I install something like a FLEX-a-LITE tranny cooler. There is a drastic difference in price and I wouldn't be surprised if it performs just as good if not better. Please help me out thanks in advance. :exporange

By the way Certi-fit is supplying me with a new RH fender, new hood, new bumper, new bumper reinforcement and header panel for the lights and such for under 500$. Thought that was a great price figured I'd pass them some business if anyone needs any body panels.:)

I was doing a little bit of searching and couldnt find any posts for my situation.... but i did find a post regarding installing a tranny cooler than was never there from stock to provide better performance for towing. It looks like it is tied to the radiator using some sort of plastic ties. Any idea what I'm refering too?

Thats the standard way of fastening it so it doesnt go anywhere. special zip tie like things that go through the radiator.

So as far as installing an after market model, then only parts that will secure it to the vehicle will be those high temp zip tie thingies that will connect it directly pressed flat against the rad? And once again I appreciate the hell out your assistance man. and to think i was gunna spend like 350 on an OEM model!

amen to that. aPresh man be easy
