I just bought a '97 XLT from a guy on craigslist. It's pretty clean (especially after I changed the oil and put some coolant in the radiator) but I still have an mini issue. It's not anything I can't live with, just wondering if anyone's heard of this happening. PS--everything is original...no accidents, nothing fixed/repaired.
When I'm stopped, I have to lean hard on the brake or I'll stall out. I also stall out when I shift gears too quick. I'm thinking the tranny's probably starting to slip. Like I said, it's not horrible, I can learn how to live with it. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions...
