Tranny shifting problem

Seems my tranny is starting out in 2nd gear from a stop. I can get it to go from 1st if i manualy put it in 1st.. any info on whats wrong with this? thanxs.

Could be a bunch of things - band, valve body, dirty fluid, pressure problem(related to valve body most likely).

I would take it someplace have them do a diagnostic on it,. You could try to change the filter and the fluid see if that may clear it up-sometimes it works!

Thanks for info. I replaced filter and did a full fluid flush and its working fine now.
