Just replaced my clutch, flywheel pilot bearing but I’m continue to get bzzzzz sounds when I try and put a load on the engine in gear. Ex. Coasting to light in 2nd gear to slow down, in gear going down large hill at high speeds.

when I give it gas the sound will go away, and it stays in gear.

is this a sign of bad synchros?

1997 explorer sport ohv 5 speed.

thanks for reading

Bump for interest. Maybe the bearings making a little noise.
Mine has 380-odd k and I can hear the difference then my clutch is in or out, a little.

Thanks, I’m not sure if some of this sound is normal with it being a 20+ year old manual transmission vehicle. Maybe I’m expecting it to operate like a more modern transmission. I typically take it out of gear and coast to lights etc but I do want the option to engine brake. This typically only happens in 2nd gear... maybe I need to rev match better.

Also upon new complete clutch system replacement I stalled it a couple times because the clutch feel is now completely different lol.

Not so much a 'modern' thing, more like an 'old' thing. The m5od is your standard manual trans layout, the likes of which will be used until they cease making manual transmissions. They really haven't/don't change that much.
I can downshift mine, but it takes some finagling. You get used to it...I have to kind of time my foot and hand to get the gears to fall into place just right, and if I don't do it just that way, it doesn't happen lol. Rev matching is exactly the term for it.
I don't know if I will ever get my trans rebuilt, for the fact that the truck has almost 400k on it. It might wind up being the donor to one of my other trucks at some point, but hopefully later than sooner. I still like driving her.
Have you tried replacing the trans fluid with nice Mobil1 synthetic? It makes mine much more tolerable. I do it every other year or so., along with the transfer case, and power steering fluid.
>>>not a Mobil Oil salesman<<<

Update: seems to mostly just be when I downshift to 2nd from 3rd or let off gas and coast in 2nd, Same with overdrive. It stays in gear but it makes a zzzzzz sound... it stays in gear and the sound goes away if I give it some gas. This doesn’t happen if I’m more aggressive with the shift and higher rpm
