I'm gonna be towing a smaller boat this summer and I want to put in an electric fan on my trans cooler to help out my tranny. Any recommendations? Preferably something that wont break my wallet.

I grabbed a fan from a 1992 geo prism (toyota corolla is the same) It was cheap and since it is oem, in theory, it should last longer than some 'el cheapo fan.

I think I paid $20 for the fan last time.. maybe have been $15. I got it with the piece of the wire harness so I could use the factory connector.

A couple pieces of steel bent using a hammer and a vice, a couple of nuts and bolts and viola, I have a trans cooler fan.

The bigger question is how are you going to control when its on or off. When you going down the freeway you actually want it off as it will block air when spinning. When your in town or just under 40mph you can have it on and it will help.

Here is a pic of mine installed.
