Trans issues

Just to note first I am on here for my GF's truck she started her profile here. Not sure how many people here are also from RPS (ranger power sports) I used to be a member there when I had one.

But onto the issues...

She has a 2002 Eddie Bauer with the 4.6 and either the 5R55W or 5R55S trans. I'm not sure which one. the problem is when it gets hot it pukes out the vent tube and irritates the hell outa me. Has anyone created a fix for the non dipstick trans to where I can read and maintain her truck?
Any help and tips I can learn would be much appriciated

Since this transmission is used in more than the Sport Trac I moved your post to the Transmission forum so, hopefully, you'll get useful info.

Has it been serviced and overfilled by chance?

RPS is a great site, loaded with info. Used to be there myself.

Not sure of the service records... she has only had it for about a year... I'm pretty sure it is in need of a full tune and service, I just want to learn a little about the engine and trans before I go changing things..
