Trans lines

Which line on the 5r55e is the in and out at the trans? Top or bottom? I am replacing my trans and need to flush my system.

Top is out

The upper port on the transmittion is the transmission fluid outlet and the lower port is the inlet. The transmission will not suck fluid from the inlet port since there is no pump pickup there.

I am using a trans cooler flush and the trans is out. Just want to make sure all the junk is out before the replacement goes in.
