So my 07 Limited 4x4 has 93k on it, everything is fine, except around 45 and 60 it seems like the tranny can't make up it's mind and there a little slipping back and fourth, at least that's what it feels like... only under light acceleration, if I give it gas it's fine, if I turn off the OD it doesn't have an issue (thought it does **** quite hard with the OD off).

I had the garage check it when I did a tire rotation and they found nothing wrong (fluid is fine, no codes) but suggested I take it to a transmission specialist.

I'm wondering if there is a known issue that I could be dealing with?

When is the last time the transmission was serviced? Did it get a new filter? When was the vehicle last tuned? If it is the 6R60/6R80 trans it can acting funny because of a need of a tune up. They are sensitive to changes in torque from the engine. It was happening to me occasionally. I had a couple bad coils. Didn't throw any misfire codes or anything but the trans knew it for sure. Changed plugs and installed new coils, problem gone. Also, the transmission fluid in the 6r trannys is loaded with friction modifier. It can't be ran forever and should be service at or before 50,000 miles if driven on highway a lot or 30,000 miles if driven in stop and go traffic a lot. Old fluid can cause glazed/sticking valves and the ECU is trying to work with what ever it has to offer...

I had recently experience that slight weird slipping sensation but after getting the tranny pan dropped, filter replaced and refilled so far i havent experienced it again. I was also going to have the pcm upgraded but boy the dealer wanted over 100 bucks for it......shouldnt they be doing this for free?

100 per hr is probably their shop rate, seems to be the norm now days. Sometimes you can find a tech that do it after work for a case of beer. Its only a 10 min job but 1hr charge is usually the minimum.
