im about to do a trans swap in my 2000 ranger 3.0 2wd a/t. i would like to know how difficult it is and any pointers anyone has would be great. its auto for auto theyre both 4r44e transmissions. the trans going in is out of a 1999 and has 60,000 miles on it as where mine has 148,891 miles most of them have been hard abusive miles. im the third owner of this trck and would like it to last awhile as im a graduating highschool student and am leaving for college in july. i have to drive 500+ miles to get there. and also if anyone knows how long do these transmissions usually last with proper care?
