My 05 XLT 4.0 4x4 with AdvanceTrac jerks and kicks under heavy acceleration but goes away when i put it into 4hi so it is thinking that the wheels are spinning making it go into 4auto. Now that it is winter, I have noticed that when the back wheels do spin, it slams into 4 wheel drive. At first I thought it could be a failing ABS/speed sensor on one of the back wheels but I read that it slamming into 4 wheel could be a failing transfer case control module because the auto-4 should be a completely smooth seamless operation. Sometimes it kicks in so hard I'm afraid it's going to cause some expensive damage so has anyone else had this happen to them or know what the problem could be? Thanks
