Transfer case gasket?

I’m swapping out transfer cases and despite my best efforts, the donor lost about 1/10 of its gasket. It is better to completely strip it down and fill it in with Ultra Black, or should I preserve as much as possible and just use the Ultra Black as needed.

Why not get a new gasket?

It doesn’t look like the one listed at rock auto is correct (listed a 7 bolt gasket, it’s 5). Guess I could check the local auto parts stores today.

Just go to a local transmission shop and buy one.
