Transfer case question

Hello everybody, I am new on here and thought I would ask this question. I just purchased a 95 Explorer and am a little confused about something. OD light is flashing on it and code is for a VSS input. Checked under the vehicle and there is a 2 wire plug which is not connected to anything on the trans or t-case. Looks like a speed sensor plug but there is no speed sensor or any other sensor not plugged in. Looked at the transfer case and it appears to be a 1354. Per Ford, this truck should have a 4405 in it which I take it has a speed sensor hookup. Without ripping this tcase out, is there anyway to modify this and make it work so my OD light stops flashing and my speedo works.

Could you take a couple of pictures and post them? Might have to link the pics VIA a photobucket account or something like it.

Try to get a pic of the t-case tags with the info on them, and a good shot of the front and back of the case. Also the drive shaft connections and the connector in question.
