Transfer case swap

I have 2 '90 BII manual transfer cases. One is hooked to a 4X4 A4LD tranny & one hooked to a FM-146 tranny. I want to use one of them behind a Mazda 5speed tranny in another BII I am swapping out the 2.9 for a 4.0. Can I do this without a lot of problems or is it a plug & play swap? Will either one of them work & if not which one will work? Thanks

They are the same t-case regardless of the tranny in front of them.

There for it doesn't matter which one you use behind any of the Ford 2.8/2.9/4.0L engines or there respective trannies.

Yes it should be plug and play.

Thanks for the information. Now I can get rid of the push buttons on my dash.

yes if u have a manual t-case but if u have a elc t-case then no u have to keep the push button
