Two weeks ago I hade an accident with my X, the car rolled over on the roof and the damages are to big to fix.
So now I'm looking for a new X and I found a 91 Sport with a transmission case/gearbox problem very cheape.
I'm going to buy the 91 Sport but can I use the transmission case/gearbox from my 93 XLT and can I just switch.

There shouldn't be a problem till 95

They made a lot of little yearly changes like the OD band going to double wrap, to single wrap, back to double. ATSG has an entire manual just for changes. These transmissions are very easy to work on for hard part failures. One easy fix I recommend is the upgraded O-ring for the reverse servo that can be changed easily when just the pan is off. Do a search here for "low/reverse servo" for my procedure. And read posts on "Anyone rebuild an A4LD."

swap should be OK.

Shouldnt be a problem to swap the 93 in place of the 91 trans. Like Opera pointed out the 93 trans has some upgrades the 91 didnt have - assuming an Auto transmission.

Have fun.
