Hello my daughters 2005 explorer started throwing the OD off and check transmission.
I am getting codes P0731, P0733, P0734. The vehicle is not worth too much but figured I could try to get some more life out of it. I replaced a solenoid that I put in a few years ago. I cleared the codes but they immediately come back even with the new solenoid. Any idea what could be the next thing to check. The car has some rust issues now so we need to determine if it is time to cut it loose. It will need tires soon too. Putting more than $500-$1000 into it does not seem to make sense to me. This was a former police car with now about 60K miles. It was in a accident where the airbag was set off but repaired/replaced.
Any thoughts what could be causing the codes?
I can do most work myself but I do not intent to R&R the transmission
Thank you

It has low mileage for its age, and another vehicle is considerably more than what it will cost to repair this vehicle. The servo bore issue is common after 60K miles.
The car was pretty much totaled last year and has a lot of rust issues. Rockets are gone needs tires. Needs ac work. We have had it for 5 years got paid out more than I had into it for the insurance 2 years ago.

Are you going to sell it, donate it or give it into a scrap metal yard? If it's going to be given away for free, I'm sure that somebody on this site will grab it.
I was going to list it on market place but I could also list it here when the time comes. I am hoping to get something out of it. I have some other parts like extra brake rotors, rocker panels, master cylinder.

This site only allows members with an elite membership to sell things. I'm sure that you could sell the spare brake parts or if nobody wants the vehicle, you could sell parts from it like lights, seats, window glass, computer, etc. Craigslist is another option.

Yes not sure if I am going to part it out like that. How can I notify people on this site if I can not list items for sale?

Oh i thought it was something you had to earn. I will join when I go to sell.

Thank you!

Call me crazy, but I'm still investing thousands into my Mounty. Although I've decided not to replace the failed ac compressor, I'm bringing it in next week to replace the front axle assemblies. It Lives!
