Hey All,

Ive got an 01 explorer sport that has been sitting in a garage now for about a year and I started it up today and had huge amounts of transmission fluid pouring out of the front. I found that the metal lines were completely rusted threw at the bottom.

I am having trouble finding the part online to replace them. I found this :
http://www.jcwhitney.com/dorman-inlet-transmission-lines/p2011680.jcwx?filterid=d16937y2001g80j1

Both of my lines are rusted through does anyone know if this would fit both lines? they seem to each be different lengths. I am also unsure how this would connect into the radiator because they dont seem to have the threaded part that the lines I took off do.

As im searching this forum alot of people seem to be putting rubber lines, but I don't have a flare tool or anything and the price would probably be equal to just rebuying the metal lines. Does anyone know where I can buy them?

Thanks for any help.

Even if you do reaplace them you still need the flaring tool. Most auto parts stores have the lines but you have to bend them to match.

That appears to be one of the two hoses for the auxiliary transmission cooler mounted in front of the a/c condenser and radiator. If you need the ones that fit the primary transmission cooler mounted to the radiator, your best bet is to either make them yourself with some tubing, a flare tool, and fittings, or any good auto shop would be able to make new ones and it shouldn't be too expensive for just those two lines.
