Hi all, have an 02 explorer with 276k on her.
Noticed a bit of transmission lag/flare from gears 2-3 a couple of days ago, only did it once. Was driving today and was getting very hard shifts from 1-2, almost slamming into gear, and fairly large RPM flares from 2-3 pretty consistently, have to let off the gas a bit to get it to shift. Rest of the gears seem fine. No codes pulled with my cheap-ish scanner.
Obviously not a lot to go by, but wondering if this sounds consistent with servo-bore wear? And if there is any way to confirm if that could be the issue before i potentially throw $250 at it.
The transmission was rebuilt about 160-70k miles ago, no service has been done aside from about 6qt fluid swap.
Thanks
