I have a 2001 Explorer with the V-8 engine. Last night my wife was ready to leave and the Explorer would go into reverse just fine, but no forward gear. There is no apparent engine load when you engage it into drive. I hear no noise from the vehicle, it just will not move forward. My wife said she revved the engine a little and it engaged briefly then dropped back out. Do any of you have an idea on this symptom. If I posted this in the wrong place, please let me know. I am new here and not too familiar with posting much. Thank you.
