Transmission question

I have a 2007 ST Limited 4.6L. My question is is that when I am coming to a stop light or coming to a stop anyway, it down shifts just fine until I am about to come to a complete stop. It seems to drop into 1st gear too late, and jerks the truck. Anyone have the same problem, or any suggestions on why it does this, and is there anything I can do to stop it. I have 59000 miles on it, love the truck, and it runs great, besides that. Thanks

That is a common issue with the 6 speed auto that they put with the V8 prior to the 2009 model year. You should contact the local dealership, explain what is going on and ask them if they could update the programming for the transmission shifts to see if that takes care of the problem.
The TSB is 08-04-16.

Ok cool. Ill look into that. I heard that too that it was common but it seems to do it little more than when I first got. But I will contact my local dealer and ask them. Thank you

Thanks swshawaii, it looks like there was another revision to the procedure and the correct TSB is 08-24-4.
