2000 ranger 4cyl Manuel trans 175,000 miles. Question I have a new sound coming from the trans . . sounds like small pebbles falling on a tin roof when I acclerate from a stop in first or second gear. It will start the sound as I bigin to touch the syncro to go into gear and as I speed up the sound stops. I does not make any sound when I push in the clutch so I dont think its the throw out bear. Anybody have any experince like this? Next Question. . . are there rebuilding kit for the trans and where? is it a really big deal to rebuild?
