Hi I have the 06 explorer v6 bought new from ford a few years ago. I drive it very easy with no towing and just daily driving to work. it now has 60k miles.
Recently it's been acting up where it doesn't seem to want to go into reverse but will click in after a few secconds. Neutral and park work fine. Also to put it in drive you have to put it into D3, wait for it to click in and then switch to drive and it works fine. There are no slips between gears.
When i brought it too the dealership they told me the tranny was shot but then i brought it by 2 other shops who also scanned it and said there were no codes showing up for tranny issues.
One garage changed the tranny fluid with no improvements, and then they said we had to have the transmision computer reset to fix it.
Has anyone else had issues like this? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!
