Hi guys
Does anyone have any thoughts on my problem.
I have a 97 xlt sohc with an annoying transmission "clunk". When it changes from 2nd to 3rd gear, i get an audible clunk and i can feel the car shudder. It does it when it changes down the gear as well but only when its cold, after which it will only do it when changing 2nd to 3rd. Ford cant seem to find whats wrong (surprise surprise) and ive checked all the logical things it could be , eg. trany fluid, loose shafts etc. Its not getting any worse its just an annoying thing because i like keeping the truck in good working order and this makes it feel like the truck has something wrong with it. Any help would be great.
