I have an 01 Sport Trac with about 185k miles. I havent had any issues with the transmission whatsoever until suddenly the other day my dash lights went out and transmission has stopped shifting. I dont know if the two are related or if the bulb just so happened to die at the same time? Cant find any blown fuses but am going to replace anyway. When I put it in reverse it wont move, neither will it in drive. It will move in 2nd and 1st but that's it. Transmission fluid is a little low and slightly dark but nothing horrible. All of my knowledge and research is telling me a bad shift solenoid but I'm not 100% sure. Service light is not on at the moment either. Any help is greatly appreciated!
