Transmission swap

Hi,
I have a 1999 Ford Explorer V8 constant AWD that was T-boned this year. I found a 1999 Ford Explorer V8 for sale with the transmission that had gone out on it. However, in the their car their transmission was a bit different because they had the dial on the center console near the radio to choose 4x4 auto high or low.

Does anyone know where this will be just a direct transmission swap or will i need to change out more?

umm im pretty sure if it had that switch for 4x4 then it is a v6... the v8 only came in AWD or 2wd...

Yea it more then likely not a v8 unless some one put in a electric shif transfer case

or they changed the radio bezel. pop the hood. if it has a v8 in it, the trans will work
