Transmission/transfer case service.

NG to group and I appreciate the opportunity! Have 1998 Mazda B4000 manual 5s with 250K, all hiway miles. Since extended warranty expired many moons ago have had transmission/transfer case,as well as most other fluid related items provided by same fast lube type vendor w/o issues. We recently moved and it would be more convient to use a neighborhood service center who has a very good rep and has worked on both family vehicles for a couple of yrs.
This truck apparently has a German made transmission? What is involved in servicing this transmission and transfer case? I drive 80 miles one way to work 3days per week.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the transmissions & transfer cases section. You could remove the pan from the transmission to replace the fluid, and the filter, then refill it with Mercon V ATF. The transfer case has no filter. It has a drain plug.
