Trying to figure out what I want to do. Transmission went out last week at 190k miles. There’s a code for second gear slip and 3rd gear slip. Blue book is $2500.

About 1150-1800 to fix it, I’m not mechanically inclined enough to fix it my self.

Should I get it fixed or buy a newer, but still used one. A lot of things seem to be falling apart now.

Yeah, they said 2nd and 3rd gear slip. I know what the problem is I just wasn't sure if it was worth putting money into it. My explorer really isn't modified in any way so it's not that much of a loss.
