2007 Ford Explorer XLT V6
Good afternoon all,

First, thank you in advance for your help. When you are me, things don't always go the way you want so any help is always very much appreciated. Secondly, I have a 2007 Ford Explorer XLT V6 and I just changed out the Thermostat Housing and sensor that goes on top but my truck is over heating. Any ideas, on where to go next?

A little more detail would help?

When is it overheating, heavy traffic at idle? A/C on or off? Hard mountain climbs at speed? Towing?

Have you tested the thermostat to make sure it's opening all the way? If overheating at idle, carefully put your hand behind the rad fan, is the air furnace hot or lukewarm?

Could have air in the coolant. Take the radiator cap off and run the engine at idle, burping the system.
After a few minutes the level might drop and add accordingly. Go with a 16PSI cap also.
