How do i tell what trim level my 98 explorer is?

Is it a 2 door?

The 4 door trim levels are XL, XLS, XLT, Eddie Bauer and Limited. The 2 doors are just called Sport as far as I know. Maybe in some years the Sports had different trim levels, but Ford usually put the trim level designation on the lift-gate and front doors.

my 98 XLT has power windows, so I'd agree you have an XL.
