When I start my 00 Explorer in the morning or anytime if it is cold out, it idles terribly going from right around 1k rpms down to nearly nothing than it will die. Any idea what this might be? Once it warms up it still idles funny staying anywhere from 1k to barely anything. My check engine light also came on the other day and autozone said to run some fuel injector cleaner which I did and it doest seem to have help any. Ideas to help out a new explorer guy?

Lower intake manifold gaskets. Search and yee shall find. Classic symptoms, worse when cold outside. $30 and a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon, and all will be well again. :)

thats the code I got, they told me to run some injector cleaner thru my tank 3-4 times and that would fix the problem, guess they were wrong

This is a common problem on that motor, there plastic seals that get hard and brittle. It's a pretty easy fix, may take a Sat. afternoon and cost about as much as the 4 cans of injector cleaner they told you to do. Make sure you have a clean engine or at least the top end, blow off any loose debri.
