After owning our 2022 limited with the 2.3l eco for about 7 months now I'm less than impressed with the mileage. We get an average of 21 on the highway and eco mode doesn't make a difference (and the fact that it won't stay in eco mode after a restart is just plain stupid). Our 13 3.5 non turbo got about 26 mpg on the highway. Anyone put a tune on the 2.3 and tried to get some more mileage out of it?

Username checks out lol.

But seriously, I think a tune won't do much. Maybe switching to highway tires if you don't have them.

What octane gasoline are you using? It seems most people add a tune to increase performance (power) which in the end might negate any increase in mpg. A 'tune' may also affect the engine warranty.

2020 RWD Limited here, I'm averaging about 22mpg in commuting driving.
24 is my best so far, but I've yet to run a full tank all highway.
Most of my driving is in Eco or normal. Mostly highway on my commute, but a lot of Houston traffic at times.

Good MPG can be achieved. What really matters most is how and where you drive. Last Fall I drove from Portland up the coast to Olympic National Park and got 29.2 mpg on the tank. I fill my tires 3 pounds over and only use 87 gas from reliable sources (Costco, Shell, Chevron, etc). I never "warm up" in the morning. Try to keep the rpms at 2000 or below till it reaches operating temp. With a mix of freeway and city driving, my average sits at 24.5 mpg since I bought it and have put almost 13,000 miles on it. I do use winter tires from November to April which cuts the MPGs a little.
