ok, so i go to get on the interstate and i floor it i get to about 40-50 and there is this faint turbine engine sound comeing from the right side from what seemed to be right behind the airbag. it would stop after i got past 50 or i let off the gas. or it would not make it before 40mph. could it be the waterpump?

booming

geez, i thought i was the only one with that noise! anyways, im in canada so i got the noise (i described it as a booming sound...) at around 80-90 kms, but i was on the throttle too.... i let off the gas and it has never appeared again. The dealership said they cant find anything in regards to the noise ( and i know they put some kms on my truck to figure it out...but its never happened again..) i say if it doesnt happen again, be lucky and just leave it, but if it does.....id say its a vacuum line........

just my story......:)

oh it happens everytime im on the gas and get between 40-50mph. it no booming noise. you know what a 747 engine sounds like right when its stating to spin up?
that high pitched squeel that gets higher and higher pitched then it stops.

yeah, i have the same thing. i always kinda thought that it was just the air rushing through the crappy plastic plenum, but im not exactly sure if thats it or not.

its weird to describe because as soon as you go faster than a certain point, it stops; and as soon as you let off the gas a little bit it stops too.

exactly

eh? passenger side mirror? nope, thats not it, heh  my truck has been doing for it a while (since i always thought that it was the plastic plenum), so, ill probably just let it go until something bigger happens.
