I have a 1993 ford explorer sport 5spd. It's all stock! I'm wanting to buy a turbo kit to install but i'm having a terrible time finding one. if someone could give me some advice on what all I should get and everything I'll need it would be appreciated

Its all going to have to be custom built

so could you giv just a round about estimate of how much it would cost for just your basic turbocharger and intercooler kit? not a hell of a lot of boost

I don't build kits to market and or ship. I only do custom stuff in the local WA area. No one makes kits that are marketed for sale. You would have to do some research of the custom shops around your area/ What area are you from? As for cost there are alot of variables as it can cost a few hundred to a few thousand....

i live in north alabama, not a lot of places around here for that kind of stuff

if you want it done correctly its going to cost at least 1000$ in parts not to include labor. If you mention your area i can point you in the right direction as there are shops alll over that can do this.

there are alot of shops down south. let me do some research. What kind of budget are you after. Have you done any kind of fabrication yourself? If your willing to do the wrenching and lots of learning and you can operate a sawzall and a welder enough to tack pipes together its possible to build the kit yourself and piece it together.

i'm not really sure what to look for, i do most of my own repairs but i'm no pro mechanic by far. i'm wanting to add a good bit of horsepower so if i wasn't to turbocharge, what would be another option for a decent power increase?

i have nearly no fab and welding experience but know many who do. i'm all for learning new things and this would be an absolutely great thing to get into. good with power tools though. my budget's not really a concern at the moment, I just kind of price it and go from there until i get it done
