18 year old daughter slid the rear passenger side tire of my 2001 Sport Trac into and onto a street curb.Took it for a test drive after installing new tire and turn indicators flashing quickly. Upon inspection, both front turn signals flash properly, however, all 3 rear lights flash simultaneously in both directions. Hazards flash properly, but hazards cause the radio to flash in unison to hazards. Any ideas beside a short going to the bed?

I would suspect a bad flasher relay in Auxiliary Relay Box #2, which is under the dash approximately in front of the driver's right knee, or the multifunction switch (turn signals, flashers, wipers) before a short in the bed. I don't know how hitting and jumping a curb would cause any of these problems, though.

Thanks for the response. I wouldn't think sliding into and onto a curb would cause this either bu

But they were working prior to and not after the replacement of the rim and tire. I ordered the multifunction switch yesterday after my daughter confirmed that the wipers have been intermittently working prior to this. I will definitely look into the flasher relay. Thank You for the information. Enjoy the holidays.
