i took my X in to the dredded Ford dealership near my house cause sometimes when you put on the blinker, the turn signal knob inside, it would smoke. so they replaced it and now 2 weeks later drivin down the road, busted on my blinker and it made this real odd buzzing sound, when this happens the exterior blinker light goes off. this has happened twice. this really pisses me off because they have already replaced it, but the good thing is that it is still under warranty.

How weird.

Just the other day I walked past the back end of a brand new sport. I looked at the 3rd brake light and it was just sitting there blinking on and off again really quick. The Explorer was off and not running. It was at my work and I noticed it for a few days in the row. It never left the guy a note because it's just an LED brake light so it won't really run the battery down. But I just can't imagin what can break or short circuit to make it do something like that.

Hey Curtis,
I am new to this site. About a week ago my explorer started making the same buzz noise when making a left turn. I immediately thought it was the flasher and picked one up at Ford at the tune of 30.00. This did not correct the problem. Mine only makes noise on left turns and if you push fairly hard on the stock it stops blinking so I am suspecting the turn signal switch. Did you ever fix yours? What did the switch run? By the way on mine if you lift up slightly on the tuen signal I can get the buzzing to go away.
