The problem is on my 1992 Ford Explorer XLT.

The left turn signal works perfectly, with both front and rear lights flashing as normal.

None of the bulbs on the car are dead. All lights come on when I turn my headlights on. Brake lights work fine.

THE PROBLEM......

When I attempt to activate the right turn signal, the following happens:
1) Right turn signal indicator light on dashboard lights up solid and stays on.
2) Right front turn signal lamp comes on and stays bright solidly--does not blink.
3) Right rear lamp does not blink.

Now, when I saw the solid right turn signal light on the dash, I assumed this was just a dead bulb problem. However, the lightbulbs seems to be working just fine in the front and rear.

Any thoughts?

My initial thoughts are that the flasher relay seems okay, since the left side flashers are okay. Also, the fuse for the flashers and brake lights is working since the left flashers and both brake lights are operational.

Weird. I experienced almost exactly the same thing, except that my right brake light didn't work (Tail light worked fine). I replaced the bulb and it went back to normal.

Does the right rear come on and stay solid when you turn on the turn signal or does it stay off? If it does not come on, try swapping bulbs with either a new one or swap from left to right to try and replicate it on the other side. If both front and rear come on and stay solid, it may be a problem with the flasher, which would be weird because it should be the same flasher for both left and right.

If your tail and brake lights work correctly, but the bulb does not light up for the turn signal, you may have an issue with the crossover between turn and brake wiring. If the circuit is broken, it would mean there would not be enough current draw from just the front bulb, which would make it not flash.

The bulb is probably bad. I just replaced my left rear turn signal bulb that had the same symptoms. The filament looked fine but the bulb had apparently burned up at the base. Just replace it or swap the other turn signal bulb to see if it resolves the problem.

just changed my bulb this week that solved the same problem. the bulb looked sooty.

bulb shoping for me today.. i have this problem :)
No left turn signal.. just lighets up in the front but no light back

Thank you - My 2019 Right blinker wasn't working in the front. It would light up but not blink. I followed your recommendation. I switched my bulbs from the left to the right. I wiped them off and made sure they were secure. THEY WORK - BLINKING Both of them!! I kept waiting for someone to help me but I did it myself and HOORAY! It works.
