Hey everyone, Im posting this for a friend who royally F'd up his ranger.

He and one of his friends installed a sub and amp into his Ranger. Well, when installing the remote wire they spliced into an ignition wire or something along those lines. It worked fine, but he just went to replace his amp and now when he turns the truck on the turn signals don't work and all his lights on his dash light up (ABS, Oil, ect.). I have no clue what he did, but this whole thing got him to join the forum and do things the right way haha. I'll post up pics whenever he comes back over to my place to try and get this all fixed.

In the mean time, any ideas!?

check all the fuses would be the first thing. maybe he blew a fuse connected to the wire he spliced. you probably shouldnt power an amp by splicing another wire, just go through the fire wall and power it with the battery. if you splice into another wire, you may overload whatever that fuse is connected to amp wise and it will blow.

Believe me I know... lol. I called him a tard for doing it that way. I like running all my stuff the right way and keeping it clean.

He said he checked his fuses and they were all good. He is worried something is wrong with the computer, but I doubt that.

Could a bulb have blown out and caused the lights to not work?

i dont think he could have ruined the computer by splicing. thats what the fuses are there for, to blow before actual components fry. i would have him check all the bulbs then go from there.
