so yesterday I take my truck to a local shop to have some tweeters installed. they are supposed to flush mount them above the seatbelts in the b pillars. They say no problem we will need a little extra time to flush mount them and run more wire. I drop my truck off at noon. I call the shop at around 430 and they say about 20-30 minutes. knowing it will take longer than theri estimate(it always does), i give them an hour before I show up. I get there and one guy says, " did your deck work when you brought it in". I said yeah look at the paperwork I signed, it says everything was functionin properly. So he says oh sh*t, we cant get your deck to power up.. So i figured they just didnt know how to power it up. I try to get it to turn on. No dice. So i tell him to test the harness going into the deck to see if power and ground are good. Everything is good on that.(by the way the truck starts and the amp is on). I go check it out again. I see exactly what the problem is. There is a fuse on the harness. I look at it. It is blown. I dont say antyhing because I figure they should be able to troubleshoot that. ! hour goes by, they are freaking out and making phone calls frantically. Very entertaining I must say. lol. After an hour a manager shows up and says "go inside and pick out a deck that is $500 or less(which is close to equal value of my deck, except i payed $100 for mine from a friend, lol). So I pick out a pioneer premier with mp3,xm radio ready and all the goodies(mine didnt have mp3 and xm radio). They install the deck and send me on my way. I now have a new $450 deck and a deck that just needs a fuse for the harness. What a bunch of idiots. It worked out well for me in the end though. I have never had a problem with this hop and may go back to them in the future and have the same guy do the install and see what kind of goodies I can get. suckers!!!! :D

:nono: You should be ashamed of yourself.

But aren't you proud of your new head unit! :D

me ashamed? no they should be ashmed that they cant pinpoint a fuse.

your my idol

oh and by the way the tweets sound and look really nice. I need to get my digicam out and figure out how to post them on a host site. Hopefully pics will be up soon of everything.

HHAHAHAHA> Thats funny..

Nice guy !!
Now don't get mad when some one takes advantage of you.

This is how I look at it

When stuff like that happens to me I see it as positive payback for all the times my order gets screwed up at the taco bell drive thru and I get shorted a burrito......

lol....thats funny...the burrito analogy really takes the cake..err burrito i suppose..lol.. Yeah i just thought it was a funny yet frustrating situation and thought all you guys would get a kick out of it. On more of a serious note has anyone ever heard audiobahn tweets? those little bast*rds get freakin loud. And has anyone mounted them in the b pillars above the seatbelts? they sound really good because its at the "dome" and you get really good sound from them no matter where you sit at.

If they are stupid enough not to check the fuse, then they deserve to be had:D

Looks good.

Nice looking truck.

those must be really loud next to your head.. Nice install..

they are pretty loud, I have tuned them enough so they are not so loud. They sound really good in that location though. I like my music really loud anyway so its works out pretty well.

heres an update on my tweeters. The crossover on the left tweeter failed and let bass through so it blew the tweeter. I contacted audiobahn and they sent me a new pair of tweets free of charge. The only thing was that they no longer sell the model that i had before so they gave me upgraded ones which are the at69. I pulled the pillars yesterday and re-ran wires and the new crossovers. DAMN. Im impressed. These tweets sound alot better and a lot more crisp than the at67's. Im very happy with audiobahns customer service and their products. Just remember everyone, always register your products when you buy them.
