twofer: pics of starter?, bedliner as carpet?

Im in need of a new starter (94ex). Got one in hand but after searching cant find any links with pics of starter mounted in car. Trying to get an idea b4 i crawl under there. Why is the haynes manual always missing in times of crisis lol? Also im curious about replacing my carpets with roll on bed liner. Does the bed liner have similar insulating qualities or will i be freezing all winter? Thanks for any help guys.

what like rhino liner ??? i really would not think that the insulation factor for this would not be very good and then there is road noise to contend with .i go witha rubber replacement soulution ...still not that good for insulation but it will give a better barrier than rhino liner and the sound may be damped a little more too .

the starter is easy to find. First take a good look at the starter you bought, then crawl under your truck and look where the transmission meets up with your bellhousing and you will see it. Its very easy to spot out in the open.
I lined just the cargo area of my X and I have noticed there is more road noise, and when I carry tools around they make alot more noise. As far as loss of insulation, it probably wouldn't be to noticeable. The insulation value of the 15 year old carpet and 1/4inch insulation is probably R1, maybe R2

The loss of insulation is noticeable.
Durring the winter when I start my truck up the heater melts snow off my boots, which drips onto the floor and freezes, causing a big sheet of ice at my feet. . .

Thanks for the advice guuys New starter is installed and all is well in the world. Think im gonna go with some kinda rubber matting and original style insulation rather than try the bedliner coating.
