i am normally roaming the halls of the sport trac forum but wanted to pass this on to you and give you a link to an active petition against uhaul's ban on renting to explorer owners. as most on here know uhaul wont let us haul their trailers as a result of the firestone tire recall on explorers. obviously this tire related issue was a firestone issue not a ford issue, and on top of that matching year navajo, aviator, ranger, and mountaineer are still able to haul uhaul trailers. i personally find this rather rude cause my truck, which is a elongated 2nd gen made during the 3rd gen, gets the boot simply cause it has explorer in its name.
so please go to the link below and sign this petition if you havent and even if you never haul do it for those of us that do we all need to stand up against this as its no fair that a 00 V8 AWD EX cant use it but the identically built 00 V8 AWD mounty can.
