(update) Exhaust Pipe Rusting

Hello,

This is the update of the post about the rusty exhaust pipe.

I was mostly concerned about the bad weld (shown in the 2nd last picture in the last thread).


It seems like it has developed into a small hole and is leaking water.

I'm worried the hole will get bigger over time and leaks exhaust gas also.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

missed a spot when welding, and the welding wire they used at the factory is less corrosion resistant than the rest of the exhaust. When and if it does rust thru it will be at the edge of the pipe next to a weld or crimp. I wouldn't be too worried about it, I'm guessing you drive a lot where they use salt in the winter, or drive on salt water beaches , it would be normal in that case.
