I think I need to replace the clutch master cylinder (again) since it is starting to squeak and getting a little tougher to shift, etc. I vaguely remember somebody on here mention a while ago that Ford or some aftermarket company makes and updated or upgraded master cylinder to replace the crap plastic unit that came on the truck (also like the replacement unit I got from NAPA a few years ago). I did a search but couldn't find the thread again. Anybody have any info? Thanks.

Well I figured nobody knew, since I checked with a few dealers and they weren't aware of an updated version either. Oh well, I must have had a brain fart again. My choices now for replacement are OEM Ford, Bendix, Wagner, Autospecialty (?), and Coni-Seal (?). Anybody have any experience or preference with these brands? I'm sure one of them probably manufactures it for Ford anyway. Thanks.

stick with Bendix or Wagner. I believe Bendix are factory brake parts. Let me know how hard this is to replace, I'm having the shifting problem too.

It's not hard to replace.

I use bendix in my truck, but i can't tell you how well it works since my tranny has never been easy to shift.
