upper control arm loose again

would like to have a good answers on this one.
did change my upper control arm on the left side about at 175000km.
now im about at 210000 km and still loose but not at the ball joint, but at the
knuckle where the bolts is.would like to know if its a good ideal to grind the (space) ;where the bolt is and put a short bolt to tight it more.
just put some brand new continental contitrack suv on it ,the inside of tire start to worn out again .

did read the post on the ball joint


never did off road with it and the only major thing i did was the front suspension: ball joint, ball joint again and again and again......:thumbdwn:

Doesnt the knuckle already have a bolt on it to retain the upper ball joint? That bolt is supposed to help "clamp" the ball joint.

You may need a new knuckle if this one is lose cauz it should be snug. Maybe the person who replaced the upper ball joint before did not tighten the bolt down so with time, the ball joints elongated the knuckle's hole?

yes there is a bolt but i was thinking shorten the bolt and add some space to the groove,and how much approx. for a knuckle?
