Hey guys,
I am having a big problem.
I went to the mall everything was fine.
Then I came back, tried to start the truck and the engine dies right away.
When I press the gas its ok, but as soon I release my foot from the pedal it die.
It did that only once before, then I pressed the gas for a few mins, holding it to 1500 rpm. Then it was fine and idle ok. But this time nothing to do, it just dies, even when the engine is warm.
I tried to tight up the idle screw adjustment a bit. But the bolt is stuck and broke on me. I have only about 5 mm of reach and cant seem to get it with the vice grip. Anyway idle always been fine. I suspect something else must have caused this problem.
I did some search and there is some post about cleaning the IAC valve on the throttle body. Could that be the problem? like it got stick and kills my idle?
Please help, I need to get the truck from the parking at the mall.
Any tips will be highly appreciated!
thank you
Pat
