How many wires do you have going to your ECT on your 4.0L X motor? I have one wire coming out of the harness.

the one on top of the intake not towards the bottom..
 






Hopefully you have two...Sensors, that is...

On the top front of your intake manifold...One sensor has one wire, the other sensor has two wires going to it...
 






The ECT has two wires, and the single wire is for the gauge.
