I am using the Trans-go. I like it. It is at the medium stage. Shifts are nice and firm, but they dont snap your back.

Black Magic- how much of an improvment did the chip make in shifting?

Is the trans-go a plug in or an acturally shift kit installed in the valve body?

My Apten chip made a huge difference in shifts.

I have an internal Transgo and also the external BM electronic shift improver. With the internal kit installed I mostly leave the BM off, but use it in hard driving or racing.

I've got a v6 92 OHV that i use just the B&M shift improver on and am quite disappointed with it. it does nothing to "improve" my shifts, all it does its make the shift point higher across the board. for $40 i guess you get what you pay for =/, if i ever need tranny work again i'd go for a REAL internal kit.

whats the cost of the computer chip?

my dad wants this for his 96. He has a motorhome and travels. He is in CO right now and complaining that driving in the mountains and stuff the tranny seems to shift slow and slightly slip.... he wants to firm up the shifts and make the quicker.

If he's experiencing slip in that 4r55e, tell him to just sit tight for a little while longer, he can have the kit installed when he has that $1500 to $2000 rebuild done. Then again maybe he'll be lucky and his won't go out like most other A4LD/4R55E trannys do.

Hey purpony, if you want I can give you a ride in my truck with the apten chip this way you can see how much of a difference it makes.

rydinhigh - thanks for the offer... i may have to take you up on that.

After I upgraded from 6lbs of boost to 9-11lbs of boost and other things my tranny was also giving that slipping feeling (V-8)...... but after the install of a baumann stage 4 it was gone... and the tranny has still been living fine behind the hp without zero problems and 100k
