hey everyone,
lately ive been having problems with my 04 ex and its lack luster 4.0 V6 power plant, it seems extremely bogged down and has an odd 3,000 RPM problem. with this said i am running 265 75 goodyear wrangler tires on the OEM 16 in rims with stock 3.55 open diffs. now i have read extensively about regearing and some engine modifications, but are there any maintance things i could do to breathe some new life into my 182,000 mile engine?

I would start with the basics and do a full tuneup. For power, a catback, CAI and tune would be a really good start and give you back the power you lost with the larger tires.

If it's just lately feeling bogged down check your fuel filter... Really common to have a plugged up one on these trucks...

thanks for the input, i have the "stage 2" intake that was outlined on a thread on here, a catback is in the works and possibly a tune. depending on the condition of existing problems. ill have the fuel filter replaced next week sometime
