I have a 95 explorer 4.0 with 108,x.. miles. Upon acceleration i hear a vaccum leak sound but it sounds like its coming from the center of the dashboard. The power is ok in the morning when it's cold, but when the engine is warm the power seems to be lacking. it also shifts very low to my opinion doesnt rev past 2000 rpm in drive.

any one have any suggestions on the vaccum leak sound?

thank you in advance!

intake gaskets maybe or an exhaust leak?

The climate control system uses engine vacuum. Maybe pull the center console (2 bolts under the radio) and pull it out (held by clips) and check if the climate control unit has any loose lines.

Would that affect the performance of that car?
