Valve lash adjustment a must? for new heads?

Okay it was safe to say I had cracked heads and blah blah blah, so I myself did a top end rebuild on my own and added the 422 cam, 95tm heads, 30# injectors and all but most other parts were all reused! and lately I been checking a few rebuild videos on youtube and came across valve lash adjustment. Umm I don't think I did that, So I'm asking did I do anything to harm the engine? It has seen less than 50 miles since the rebuild and fumes are pretty rich in smell! Do I need to remove the intake and do this over? I don't know I didn't put 2 and 2 together till now! I can't even remember what kinda rockers are on the engine now that I think about it!

And by the way I did order the new and correct new pushrods when I did this!
 






You have rocker arm assemblies with hydraulic lifters. There is no valve lash adjustment. The closest you have is ordering the right push rods.

Your rockers should look like this...

Check out the rockers on this top end ... Yours should look like these..As you can see there are no adjustments here except pushrods and shims under the rocker arm stand...
