Vavle job???

Well my vavles been rattling like crazy for the past year or so and i've use about everything lucus and seafoam and all.. anyways its getting really really worst lately and it just makes my truck sound soooooooo bad. I was wondering exactly what the problems is, like the valves itself or the "heads" and how much iam looking at to get this problem solved... this is the only thing that is holding my inshape 93 back.... any help thanks Tom..

I think new timing chains may be needed. Mabye your getting valve lash on your cylinders.


I used some luca oil stabilizer last year and had tapping from the heads. I was also using 10w40 instead of the right viscosity for some stupid reason.

This time I went to my mobil1 synthetic 5W30 and no addatives. The noise is gone after like a month of progressively getting quieter.


How many miles you got on truck?


Don't say anything, just let them drive it. Let them tell you whats wrong..then get a second opinion.

when i go and get someone to look at it , what should i tell them is wrong?? my valves are rattling???
