Vehicle Speed Sensor

Does a 1994 Ford Explorer have a speed sensor on transmission? Autozone is telling me it doesn't. I think it does. But not sure.

Sort of. The speedo is cable driven and there is a speed sensor on the cable, by the trans. The cruise control uses it. I am pretty sure the ecm does not use it for anything else.

If its a 4x4... No. There is one on the T-case. (like Maniak said - where the speedo cable attaches.)
